Carl A. Smart is a seasoned trial attorney with over twenty-five years’ experience. Admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2001, Mr. Smart is also licensed before the U.S. District Court for both the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas. Mr. Smart’s litigation experience is broad and includes personal injury, defense work, commercial litigation, and collection matters.

Mr. Smart earned his B.A. from the University of New Mexico in 1994, followed by his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1997. In addition to his extensive courtroom experience, he spent several years counseling victims of natural disasters while working with the United States Small Business Administration. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Mr. Smart effectively serves a diverse clientele. Outside of his legal practice, he remains active in his community as an umpire for youth baseball and softball.
