He has also conducted industry seminars and workshops and been actively involved in drafting proposed legislation affecting planned communities.

SOFTWARE-AS-A-SERVICE (SAAS) PROVIDER

Mr. Williams is also a founding shareholder and Chief Financial Officer of Collectronics, Inc., a software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider to attorneys, community association managers and boards. Mr. Williams, his law partner, Dean A. Riddle, helped to create Riddle & Williams, P.C.’s assessment collection and tracking system  (ACTS©) to help them better manage and track the thousands of collection cases referred to them for collection.

Before ACTS, case tracking, document creation, document management, filing, calendaring and reporting was largely a manual task that was ripe for human error and inefficiencies. Unable to find a cloud-based application that integrated all of these functions, Mr. Riddle and Mr. Williams created their own cloud-based application. The result, ACTS (branded under the name “CollectMinder®” by Collectronics), is now used by attorneys, managers and boards throughout the United States in all areas of collection and foreclosure, from assessment collection and lien foreclosure to rent collection, tax collection, first lien foreclosures, garnishments, evictions, executions, timeshare collection and credit card collections.

By incorporating the legally-required mechanics of the foreclosure and collection processes into a cloud-based application, creating prompts and reminders to pro-actively manage accounts, and automating the document creation, filing and mailing process, Riddle & Williams, P.C. has minimized the risks and liabilities associated with its collection practice and improved the timeliness and accuracy of legal services, while at the same time providing real-time information to its clients regarding the status of collection matters and the legal fees and costs associated with those matters.

The state-of-the-art technological advantages and capabilities of ACTS afford attorneys and their clients throughout the United States with the opportunity to enjoy customized and optimized legal collection procedures, cloud storage, real-time tracking of collection and foreclosure accounts, and online status reports offered in a client-friendly interface accessible 24/7/365 from wherever the user has access to the Internet.
